"Who orders chicken at Peter Luger?" asks Miguel Ferrer's character.
No one. As anyone who's ever been there knows, the legendary Brooklyn steakhouse Peter Luger doesn't serve chicken. An irritating lack of attention to NYC detail. Several of those kinds of slips in recent CI scripts. (See also astute comments by dragonsback about similar shoddy research in the "Please Note" poll thread.)
Otherwise, some nice twists to this story.
Fine work from Noth.
Nicholson needs a new wardrobe consultant.
Be back with less shallow comments after everyone has had a chance to see the episode.

I don't know, I kind of liked that blouse. But TBPH I have Logan/Wheeler fatigue. Had a hard time following what there was to follow. I wish they'd given Noth a good sendoff last year, or hope they will now--and I hope Nicholson gets more of a chance to be an individual with the next partner. She gets lost in the shuffle despite her best efforts.
Also, what what is the fixation with boxing rings? It grows repetitive.

Liked the episode. Hated the blouse (what the hell was wardrobe thinking). Figured it was the coach because he was the big name in the cast. I will hate to see Noth leave. I have come to enjoy him.

" Nicholson needs a new wardrobe consultant. LOL! I'll be back later to put my two cents in on this episode. But I had to agree with you on this point! Hee-hee!

Wheeler's blouse reminded me of the Seinfeld Puffy Shirt.

Puffy blouse was so un-cop like.
good Noth acting throughout; I was one of the ones glad to see him come on & I will miss him.
The Plot: Well this one at least had good red herrings! For me, I said, ah the coach. Then I went -wait - maybe the girlfriend. Then I say - no; they really wouldn't make the other coach do it? Then it was I know the brother didn't - so why are they doing this ridiculous flash back to all the clues as if we didn't have a brain/memory? then - the coach again.
I was very satisfied with the plot. It could have, in the last quarter, given us more coach/intent as it still seemed a shallow reason for murder for me.
I did NOT like the clue / flashback segment.
I did like the guy handing Logan the names of the killers.

I did get to see The Perfect Man with Chris Noth this Weekend it was very good. I recomend it.
Now for this episode, my son called during it, and its sad, I didn't bother to rewind the DVR. It just didn't peak my interest. At first I thought maybe it was the girlfriend, killing the brother to get the trainer to spend more time with her boyfriend. But really I didn't care. I really didn't like the episode, I hate sad endings. This is an episode when I hate not having Carver or a DA. I want them to walk up and say, "Well, his lawyer can plead emotional distress, since the man did kill his brother, and pushed him to be a killer. We will let him go into a psych hospital." I want to know what happens next! Why make me care about a killer then not tell me what happens to him. Writers this is not fair! How dare you do this to me. Either make me not care about the killer, or tell me what happens. This sucks.

I kinda liked this one. Wish that Logan could have gotten the truth out of him, instead of him being beat to a pulp. It would have been more satisfying. Logan getting the score and making that guy eat his words.
Wheeler's wardrobe, well... good to try new looks. Just didn't work this time. She's cute, but lose the ruffles.
I agree ragin, we need Carver. It could have ended with a little more satisfaction.

I did NOT like the clue / flashback segment. I was also a bit annoyed by what I perceive as the "dumbing down" of LOCI. Was it really necessary to spoon feed the audience a montage of why Peter snapped? I miss the earlier episodes when the audience was expected to pay attention & put two & two together, not handed all of the pieces to the puzzle. Poor Wheeler. I could read her mind when Mike & Gus almost came to blows in the gym. Here she is again, calling for back up in a testosterone-filled, all male arena. I hate boxing, and I can see Wheeler does too - she winced a few times watching Peter spar with his partner. In spite of a few minors things, I really enjoyed this episode. Although, I can't see how anything that happened in this episode would jeopardize Logan's job (as per the promo). Time will tell, I suppose....

I was also a bit annoyed by what I perceive as the "dumbing down" of LOCI... Absolutely, Donna! Either Julie Martin and Warren Leight had no confidence in the logic of their story, or they've come to think we're as dumb as a ruffled blouse. I hope it's not the latter. Or the former either. AL

Ah, Rajincagun - thanks for mentioning that - that is something that I kinda felt left hanging on - on how the DA would pursue the brother & like you; I would have liked to hear an ADA saying that they expect to plea it out for time served & life probation or something like that - so that we felt the brother caught some kind of break. Not like is just an indescriminant killer & the whole of society is in danger. He killed a killer.

ROTFL Diablodeblanco! I had the exact same thought. The Puffy Shirt! Eeeek!
I thought this was a good episode but I have to say I absolutely hated the ending! Could it get any sadder? I wanted to cry!
I, too, went back and forth about who did it, right up until Christina confessed that Gus had tried to rape her. Then I pinned it on him. But never in a million years would I have guessed that Peter would end up killing him trying to get the information.
I like Wheeler, but I have one pet peeve. . .can anyone imagine Eames calling for back-up like that? Although, to be fair, Wheeler is a lot younger and hasn't been a cop as long as Eames. So I can cut her a little slack. . .but. . .but. . .Geez! ;D
