...and I don't want to go there because I'm going to get killed if I say what I really think of Goren. Mimi I really would like to hear what you think of Goren. My husband and 2 male coworkers can't stand him. My work buddy (nerdie engineer himself) says Goren is a pompous know it all who needs a shave. Only online have a found others who truly appreciate the oddities that make up Goren. Joanie

Jefferaldo, as I said earlier on the thread I prefer to be called Catbird.
Observer, I miss your frequent posts and hope the computer thing works out.
Metella, sorry for the recent funk. I'm thinking of you, feel free to vent/Private Message as needed.
And yes, mimi, I like Joanie would be interested in hearing what you have to say. While Goren/D'Onofrio has quite a number of enthusiasts on this board, people generally listen respectfully to what people say. Who knows, you may find people who agree with some of your points!

Catbird, have I already told you how much I like your siggy?
Mimi, I want to know. Really and truely--no one will judge. I am a very big Goren fan, but everyone around me dispises him, and it's actually refreshing to have a different opinion. My mother used to love him, but has recently turned on him, and is extremely skeptical. But it's really simply an interesting conversation starter. Give it a try.

Hum ... you guys must be used to hanging out with a rough crowd. No one throws stones here, and the very few that tried it no longer post here. So you're saying I can sell off my guano-proof vest on E-Bay? Darn it looked good with all my outfits. ;D Guano-proof you may want to keep, just in case, but bullet proof would be over kill. Though, as Goren and Eames have shown, a bullet proof vest can also be a flattering addition to any wardrobe

I want one.
In the promos for the next episode his fake white doctor coat was way too small especially in the shoulders.
Spray it don't say it.

Mimi- Could your "real feelings" about Goren be discussed somewhere other than in the Episodes section?

Yeah, Mimi - why don't you start a "Pros & Cons on the Goren character" thread or I'm sure you can come up with a catchier title.
Not down - funk would be better, or aftermath of seething at my boss. He is an insect in human form. Anywho -
I am looking forward to the Logan episodes, I always liked his character - I am hoping his partner gets some character.

Many of you seem to have hated the pair up before the season even started. I've read countless numbers of threads stating (maybe not on this board but I've read too many and already sick of them) that the person would only watch the Goren/Eames episodes and refuse to watch Logan/Barek episodes. Give them a break. Watch them for a full season and then, if you still don't like them, I would like to know why. *braces self for stones* Since I am in a foul mood, maybe I should brace myself for stones? My pre-apologies for sounding B***hy, I don't mean to. Yep, I am one of the people who has refused to watch the Logan/Barek episodes. And I am really tired of people B***hing about it. It's my choice, one I have bent over backwards to explain why, repeatedly. I'm not going to watch them for a full season. I don't like Logan, Barek is irrelevant to me. I didn't like Logan on the mothership L&O. I accidentally tuned into "Diamond Dogs". and Logan was the same person that I hated on the mothership. The scene where he used the poolstick made me cringe. I hate Logan for basically the same reasons most people seem to: he's violent. My reasons for not wanting to watch Logan should be crystal clear. And for some irony: as much as I despise Logan, I felt sorry for him in the 10 mintutes I watched. He was actually stangely more likeable than Barek. Before they found the girls body in that trunk, Barek rambled to herself and acted as if Logan wasn't there. I remember thinking "Hello lady, you do have a partner there". I read Barek talks to herself, maybe that's what she was doing? I agree yes, she is very dull. I only saw one facial expression from her and I know Sciorra is a much better actress than that. They both irritated me in the ten mintutes I watched. I surely don't want to watch them for a whole season. I'm tempted to watch again just to watch Barek because, I may have gotten the wrong impression of her. The thought having to watch Logan shove another pool stick in someone's throat greatly deters me. CI is about intellect, not violence. Logan is not CI.

I try direly to tone down any critisism because I'm always paranoid I will upset someone. Now that the door has been opened, this should be fun and balanced. ;D I consider myself a much bigger D'Onofrio fan than a Goren fan. Goren has been especially annoying to me lately. (Not referring to "Grow"!!) Goren has many strengths and bonuses but he also has plenty of flaws and weaknesses. However, the good usually outweighs the bad.

Begtodiffer,
But of course. This is obviously not the right thread for this discussion.

I will discuss what I think of Goren only in relation with elements from episodes. I’m not the type of person who really enjoys doing psychological analyses unless it’s to get a specific point through.
But anyone who's interested can start that thread. I will enjoy reading it.
