got a snicker out of me too, techguy! ;D But didn't you allude to all of the above somewhere on this thread? If not you must be the only guy I know who can resist the temptation.

Sirenna, yes I confess, the subject of shoe size, hands and noses did come up in my comparison of self to Det. Goren. However, I plead the Fifth as to the "resisting temptation" part of this scenario. No offense to Bill Clinton, but I guess it depends on how one defines "resisting" and "temptation." ;D

I know it's prime time network television, but what woman on top leaves her bra on? That scene has always bothered me. They repeat it in Cuba Libre.

I´m personally against showing certain things on tv, not because I think it´s dirty or immoral, not at all, it´s because when you make a show where plots, dialogues or characters are very important, when you put an effort on contructing a solid character, if you have someone showing her tits the audience won´t pay attention to a well written script. Show a pair of breasts and you can have a mariachi band that nobody will notice. This episode is realistic in a certain way, Henry talks (twice) about the condom like if he was talking about losing the keys. That´s pretty openminded for a show that is not on HBO . The more natural thing would be having sex without the bra, and without the sheets covering exactly what they want but Eleana is right, you don´t need that to be realistic. CSI doesn´t need it to be really gross. Here a show has to be veeeery porn to be considered +18 (your NC-17). Dramas made in Spain show all kind of male butts but they are respectful about the rest, movies show absolutely everything on prime time. Kids learn the facts of life if they watch tv beyond 10 pm (our prime time, we have dinner at 9).

Oh yeah, the european have everything late, including dinners and sleep time. According to my mom, in China, anything that's even has a single remote reference to sex is literally banned right on the spot. But that was during her time, I don't know if they still do that there. On the other hand, I stay corrected, CI don't need to be graphic to be good. Goren jumping up and down is good enough for me ;D

I guess I need to watch this episode again. It wasn't one of my favorites. Goren's emasculating the perp at the end seemed out of the blue. Did I miss something? Did Goren allude earlier as to why the guy might have preferred petite women? It seemed like a crap shoot that paid off all too well. After all, this guy had -- what -- 5 girlfriends? All of whom adored him? He was doing something right (along with all the wrong). I had a hard time believing this guy would be so sensitive to Goren's allusions -- or so foolish as to take the first opportunity to proposition a female police officer on the case. But maybe I'm biased -- I'm only 5'8"!
I forget who posted Goren's observation about the wife's "shiny floor," but that gave me a good laugh! I hadn't noticed that when I watched this episode, which just goes to show you that LOCI stands up very well to repeat viewings.

Hi everyone,
I saw "Jones" while I was up in New Jersey, and I fell in love with that episode. I love the part where the guy is hitting on ALex in the Interrogation Room, and Bobby is on the other side of the glass, and his face is all like " Touch her again, and you die!". I don't know why, but I think that's what he was thinking.
The whole episode rocked though.
Thanks and write back, Rachael

Goreneamesfan:
This is just another take on the episode so take it for what it's worth but the perp seemed to like petit women because he was insecure professionally, pyschologically and physically. He hit on eames in the same scene (or she let him knowing the type of guy he was would be trapped by something like that) because she is petit. At the same time he tried to cut Goren out of the scene which as we saw made Goren use his own bulk, confidence and physicality to eventually bring him down. I really liked this episode

Hi,
I have to agree Sirenna. This episode was dubbed as one of my faves of Season 1. I just like the different scenes with Alex and the guy Henry Talbot. He drove her slightly crazy. He hit on her in the booking room, in interrogation...and he could've been kicked in the head for messing with her where everyone can see what he's doing.
Anyone agree?
Thanks and write back, Rachael

Rachael>> My favorite part is when Bobby comes into the room as Alex leaves. Bobby says to Talbot "She's a ... your type, right? Petite..." He makes that little fidgety gesture with his hands while he's saying it; it is just perfect! And then of course, there is the whole shoe size thing... hilarious!! You know Bobby was behind that glass just wanting to bust him in the head for touching Alex, too.

You know Bobby was behind that glass just wanting to bust him in the head for touching Alex, too. oooooooo. I think I hear a shipper! Just curious, how many fans here are Alex/Bobby shippers? As much as I want to keep Bobby for myself, I'm still in for the idea of a romance between the two of them, at least it's better than Nicole/Bobby romance. If Goren had to have a woman, it'd be Eames. Nicole? Ewww...

I meant it in a "partner-ly" way. I do read some of the shipper fan fic, but only if the story itself is good. I just don't see them that way on the show. caseyswife
