I think I mentioned my reservations about a Goren/Eames romantic involvement before. Having a relationship with a co-worker is a minefield, and in a stressful profession like police work it's even more so. I think even if G/E considered such a thing, both are too smart to risk jeopardizing their friendship and working relationship, because there is always the possibility the romance could fizzle out, which would put an enormous strain on their personal and professional lives. That's the main reason I think a G/E romance wouldn't, or shouldn't, ever happen.

I don´t think two people with their personalities would get along as lovers. Friendship, work and love move in different levels, I have great friends I couldn´t live with, I have male workmates I wouldn't be involved with and I couldn´t work with my boyfriend.
Lots of men and women can be workmates and friends without ending up in bed.
It's Law&Order not Love&Order. No shipper, please.

I can't imagine an E/G love interest. The whole idea just seems pretty ridiculous to me. The two of them working together is great, but a romance? Sorry can't see it and frankly I don't want to.

I take it this is playing on USA tomorrow. Slightly OT, but Griffin Dunne's Talbott is one of the more memorable perps, IMO, and I thought fellow appreciators of this episode might enjoy this clip from Scorsese's After Hours: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjiIiyBSvbcIt's a little hard to explain what's going on here, but basically, this guy is having a bad night. I uploaded this for something else--but then I realized that it was Henry Talbott/Seamus Flaherty and freaked out (shows you how much I know about the cinema). In fact, I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to see Griffin Dunne in anything else without thinking of Henry Talbott, or at least being reminded that he wears a size 9 shoe ... *g*

I KNOW. And I just can't stop thinking of him as Henry Talbott ... poor man :-D
It might not say much for my character, but "Jones" never gets old for me. Goren dancing, and the look on Griffin Dunne's face when Eames says she has to go and wash off the slime. Priceless.

If it's any consolation, classic episodes like "Jones" never get old for me either. I missed the level of villainy and Goren/Eames interactions in Season 6 and hope for a return to form in Season 7. Maybe that says something about my character too--or is it shoe size? ;D
