I think the ep you're refering too is "The Faithful". He rhymes with his homeless guy and does his little happy dance in front of the mirror/window. In "One" he introduced the gumby move, I think.

Goren does nothing without thinking it through. Completely. If nothing else, odd questions just serve to throw them off. Getting the information he really wants. You know, I talk alot with my hands too. I don't know what I would do with myself if I couldn't use them. Man, that's like, some rare form of torture. Well- you're both Italian!

Goren stomping on the trash can in "Semi-Professional" was hilarious. And Goren aggravating the woman about the watch with his "weird questions" in "Mis-Labled" was priceless because it is classic Goren. Nicole Marie, I can't quite remember these scenes-could someone provide context?

I vividly remember the watch scene. The watch legally belonged to a man, but actually was worn by his wife. Inside the watch's bracelet crime tech found a pubic hair belonging to that identity-stealing guy.

How about when Goren picks up and sniffs a ball of horse poop from the suspects girlfriends floor.
Later he tells her she was at the park near the horses and starts to show her the ball of poop he is holding between his forefinger and thumb. Unlike Goren, the girl recoils and doesn't wish to inspect the horse droppings.
Only Goren would inspect poop, determine it was horse poop, then hold it the entire time he is interrogating someone.

Well, I would, actually. I don't have many things in common with Goren. I'm very short, I do *not* talk with my hands, because after teaching German to Eastern European people for over 5 years I've had enough explications done "manually" instead by using the correct words. But I've already inspected horse droppings. That's how I found out that my horse had worms.

Thats how I found out that the cause of my horse's colic was a mix between sand & worms. I see nothing wrong with handling/'smelling' horse manure, at least it's organic, I mean there are worse things to put ones nose in. ;D

In the case of Goren it would be unusual corpse fluids, I think. No, I only tore the droppings apart with a fork and then I found the worms. I phoned to vet after that, and he promised to send some worm medicine. By the time the worm medicine arrived, I feed her (it was a mare) a daily dose of garlic, that also helped to force the worms out.

On a different note, I love when he does a Boston accent.

In "Badge" when Goren puts on the bloody shirt and reenacts the murder with a baseball bat to determine correct blood splatter patterns.
How could he put on a dead mans bloody shirt and not get the he-be-g-be's (sp?)

Hopefully this is an infrequent activity and not a hobby.

There actually are some LOCI fans who think that sniffing at corpses and unusual fluids *is* Goren's hobby, i.e. he enjoys it. Well in my case... I am a professional. Period.

WOW - we have two horse poop inspectors on this board !!! Hopefully this is an infrequent activity and not a hobby. [/quote] Well, the horse I owned at the time was old & sickly, so I had to inspect his... droppings regularly because he coliced frequently (due to severe parasite damage in his GI tract). Sadly, he passed away a year ago December 1st, he was 38. I rescued another that was heading to a kill sale, but she's in slightly better condition, so I don't have to sift through droppings anymore LOL.
Another fave quirk of mine is in Coincidence, when he's grilling the young scientist about having a problem with her work & how he almost looks surprised when he becomes to easily flustered LOL.
